2012 SMA-SA Members Conference "Swimming & Aquatic Symposium"

In 2012 SMA-SA's State Conference "Swimming & Aquatic Symposium" will be held on Sat 17th & Sun 18th March at the Marion Cultural Centre (adjacent to the Aquatic and Leisure Centre, which is the venue for the National Swimming Championships - Olympic Trials).

                                                                                                          

The Keynote Speaker for the Symposium is Professor David Pine (BAppSc MAppSc PhD) is the Senior Physiologist at the Australian Institute of Sport. He currently works as a Sports Scientist for both AIS and National Teams. Professor Pine is an Editor for the International Jounral of Sports Physiology and Performance.

2012 Sports Medicine in General Practice

of SMA-SA has developed this practical course in Sports Medicine for General Practitioners working with active people of all ages and at all levels. The emphasis will be on the management of medical problems realted to sport and exercise at a community level. Considerable effort has been made to utilise speakers and mentors of the highest expertise in the specific areas related to Sports Medicine.
Course Coordinators are Dr Andrew Potter, Senior Medical Officer Adelaide Crows & Sports Physician, with Dr Elizabeth Clisby, SMA-SA Medical Director & Sports Physician.
